Subject: Sir Edward Heath
Dear Mr Rashid,
I realise that with Parliament in recess, this is not the best time for action, but I have been working, amongst other matters, on the admission by former Conservative Chief Whip Tim Fortescue that the Heath government had covertly concealed serious sexual crimes by Tory MPs from the police, purely in order to control those members.
In a recorded film recently, I called on the Prime Minister to make a public statement apologising to the victims of these crimes. I have also just spoken to Mitchell Berry at the Downing St Press Office for a response.
Tim Fortescue`s extraordinary admissions were filmed on BBC TV in 1995 and repeated in 2014, so there can be no doubt of its veracity.
Given that Mrs May set up the Child Abuse Inquiry some years ago, it is quite staggering that this issue, admitted by the Conservatives, has not yet been addressed. It must surely be political dynamite, so please use this letter as you wish. Mr Fortescue`s interview can still be seen on Youtube.
