Rick McGovern, who abducted a teenage girl, forced the underage girl to have six sexual encounters.
The 32 year old came into contact with the youngster on online messenger Kik, where he used a picture of Deadpool as an avatar to hide his identity.
The sexual encounters occurred within McGovern’s home in Waterside Marina, Brightlingsea. The pervert also took explicit photographs of her.
McGovern was convicted yesterday at Ipswich Crown Court.
Richard Potts, prosecuting, told the court that the 32 year old had met up with the girl twice before the incidents occurred.
“He said he wanted her to change the way she looked and wanted to get some hair dye.”
“He said he would like to go to Paris or Germany and said he could get her whatever he wanted.”
At a prior hearing, McGovern had admitted abduction, meeting a child following grooming, three counts of sexual activity with a child, taking an indecent photo and two counts of breaching a sexual offences prevention order intended to stop him having unsupervised contact with children or talking to them online.
The witness statement outlined how the victim, who is unnamed, is “scared” if he comes out of prison because she believes that “he will find me somehow”.
The judge, Rupert Overbury, has adjourned sentencing so he could read more information about McGovern’s sexual offences prevention order. He has been warned that he will indeed face a hefty jail term.
“He is facing an extremely long prison sentence whichever way you look at it.
“I apologise to those who have come to watch this today but I have got to make sure this sentence is right.
