The head of squash at Queen’s Club and Eton College was among four men charged yesterday with historical sex offences at Christ’s Hospital, a leading independent school.
Ajaz Karim, 62, who has also worked at the Hurlingham polo club in London, faces nine charges of indecent assault on a female and one of attempted indecent assault on a female.
He and three other men who taught at the boarding school, in Horsham, West Sussex, were charged yesterday with 36 offences relating to 14 alleged victims, both male and female.
The Crown Prosecution Service said that the alleged attacks, including rape, took place between 1980 and 1996.
