People think it’s every schoolboy’s dream but it wasn’t right’: Perverted BBC couple’s victim reveals how wife asked him to have sex with her in a park as husband egged her on
- BBC presenters Julie and Tony Wadsworth were jailed for five years on Friday
- The couple groomed young boys in woodland near their home in Warwickshire
- Darren Cunningham has bravely revealed what happened when he was groomed
A plumber who was groomed by BBC perverts Julie and Tony Wadsworth has spoken about the time he was asked to intimately touch her when he was just 14.
Darren Cunningham, 39, has waived his right to anonymity to reveal his account of what happened after the couple were both jailed for five years.
He recalled the moment he and a friend spotted the couple in a park near Atherstone, Warwickshire, in 1992.
The father-of-three said he was approached by a woman ‘old enough to be his mother’ who asked him if he wanted to have sex with her.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, he said: ‘People must think it’s every schoolboy’s dream but it wasn’t right.
‘We were gobsmacked, and to make it even more weird her husband was egging her on. We tried to treat it all as banter and a big joke.’
The Wadworths, who were BBC radio presenters, were jailed on Friday after being convicted of indecently assaulting underage boys.
The couple, regarded as the ‘Richard and Judy’ of local radio encouraged six boys to take part in sexual activity in woodlands between 1992 and 1999.
Mr Cunningham was one of the victims and Warwick Crown Court heard 60-year-old Mrs Wadsworth would wear stockings and suspenders in the woods.
Her husband, now 69, took photographs and pleasured himself as she had sex with the teenage boys.

During their extensive careers working for BBC radio, the Wadsworths cultivated a ‘saucy’ Carry On film-style image
Mr Cunningham, who is also a stepfather to three other children, was asked by the couple if they could ‘have a play’ and he said he was ‘trembling with excitement’.
He told the newspaper that his friend returned after going behind the bush with Mrs Wadsworth and was later told it was ‘his turn’.
Mr Cunningham added: ‘Me and my mate were trembling with excitement and didn’t know what to expect. Then she told us we could do it one at a time.
‘My mate went behind the bush with her first but was back within minutes saying he was scared because the husband had a camera and he thought he was taking photos.
‘Then I heard her shout it was my turn. I was nervous but she called me over next and she was sitting down naked with the mac open.’
Mrs Wadsworth asked her to intimately touch her and later removed his trousers so she could perform a sex act on him.
He said: ‘It was the first time in my life, and I can’t say it wasn’t pleasant.
‘She was totally in control. She was giggling as she did it and I wasn’t looking around at what was going on.
‘But I suddenly looked up and saw him in the bushes taking photos. I asked her what he was doing and she just told me to ignore him.’

During their seedy sex sessions, Wadsworth, pictured, would keep lookout yards away while his wife performed sex acts on the boys in a secluded area
He was later terrified that his mother would find out about what happened after the couple were spotted outside his home.
Mr Cunningham also feared the police would knock on his door and revealed his friends returned to the woods to continue having sex with her – but he didn’t go back.
The couple, from Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, have now been placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Judge Andrew Lockhart QC said it was clear they ‘could not resist the sexual thrill’ of abusing young boys.
He said: ‘I find that you both found that your sex life would be made more exciting by engaging with young lads in Mancetter Park and the woods near to your home.
‘You Julie Wadsworth loved that young boys were attracted to you as an older woman.
‘You, Tony Wadsworth did all you could to encourage to encourage her and facilitate the events that the jury have heard about.’
